About the event

FARHA, written and directed by Darin J. Sallam, was inspired by true events. FARHA tells the story of a young Palestinian girl in 1948, whose dream of seeking an education is cut short by violence. To keep her safe, her father locks her in a room - where she witnesses crimes that change her life forever.

Following the screening, we invite guests to stay for a thought-provoking dialogue with special guest speakers.

This film is rated for ages 14+, with parental discretion.

East End Acts for Palestine is a neighbourhood solidarity group mobilizing for political and social change in the east end of Toronto.

Toronto Palestinian Families is a grassroots group led by Palestinian families advocating for safe and inclusive spaces free from anti-Palestinian racism and other forms of inequity in the Toronto District School Board.
