About the event
At its core, the band includes Juno-nominated bandleader John Fraser Findlay, Craig Riley, and Tracey Gallant,
supported by Neil Chapman - guitar, Mark Kelso - drums, Gordon Sheard - piano, and Russ Boswell - bass.
After recording with Bill Payne, founding member of Little Feat, in 2015, Findlay was inspired to fire up Dixie Chicken and
hit the Canadian bar and festival circuit with great success, bringing the charismatic grooves of Lowell George and the
iconic 1970s blend of rock, funk, country, and New Orleans flair to audiences.
Dixie Chicken's monthly Thursday night gig at the Orbit Room in Toronto was an epic event.
