From the smoky jazz clubs of Toronto to the grand stages of international blues festivals, Tyler Yarema has been captivating audiences with his high-energy performances, infectious charm, and masterful piano playing for over three decades. A self-taught virtuoso, Yarema channels the spirit of jazz legends like Willie "The Lion" Smith, Fats Waller, and Duke Ellington, bringing a fresh, electrifying sound that blends stride, blues, swing, jump-blues, and boogie-woogie into a powerhouse performance unlike any other.
After making the move from Thunder Bay to Toronto in 1994, Yarema quickly became a fixture in the city’s vibrant music scene, sharing the stage with Jeff Healey, King Biscuit Boy, Downchild Blues Band, and the legendary Doug Riley. It wasn’t long before he formed his own powerhouse group, Tyler Yarema and His Rhythm, taking his unique hybrid of jazz, blues, and high-energy entertainment to new heights.
