Upgrading my boat's mapping for better lake navigation
Recently picked up a new chartplotter and I’ve been spending my weekends getting familiar with the high-definition mapping features. The level of detail on the contour lines is honestly a huge step up from what I was using before, and it’s helped me find a few new spots I never would have noticed. I’m currently looking into adding a specialized Lakemaster card to get even more precise data for the specific region where I do most of my fishing. Does anyone here have experience with the "AutoChart" feature where you can map out uncharted waters yourself? I think it would be a fun project for some of the smaller, private ponds I visit that don't have official data yet. Overall, the interface has been very user-friendly, and I’m excited to see how much this changes my success rate on the water this year.

My fish finder stopped working while I was out on the lake and I was really frustrated because the screen stayed dark during the trip. I searched for troubleshooting tips but I really needed to talk to a technician who could walk me through a hard reset of the unit. I checked out Humminbird customer service number and finally found a number that connected to the tech department after waiting for days for an email reply. They helped me diagnose the issue and now I am back on the water with a working sonar and a much better understanding of my fishing gear.
